ROH Final Battle Review

Ring of Honor held their Final Battle PPV at the Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena in Baltimore, Maryland ending a era for the promotion with their future uncertain.

Final Battle had some great competitive matches including wins by Dragon Lee, Rhett Titus (in a Four Corner Survival match to win the Television Championship), Josh Woods (retaining Pure Championship), Rok-C (retaining Women's Championship), VLNCE UNLTD & Rocky Romero (in a eight man tag match), and The Briscoes (winning the tag team championship).

There were also video cameos from ROH alums Eddie Edwards, "Hangman" Adam Page, Jimmy Jacobs, CM Punk, Adam Cole, Young Bucks, and Bryan Danielson.

Fight Without Honor: Kenny King vs Shane Taylor

They used kendo sticks, tables, chairs, and ladders in this grudge match.

A chair shot to the head of Kenny King and a pile driver on the same chair finished off the win for Shane Taylor.

After the match, Taylor and King shared a hug not knowing what the future lies ahead for both competitors.

Guest Appearances

Deonna Purrazzo to challenge Rok-C to a future winner take all championship match involving the AAA and ROH women's championship titles and possibly the Impact Knockouts Championship if Purrazzo can win it back from Mickie James at the Hard To Kill PPV.

ROH Championship: Jay Lethal vs Jonathan Gresham

A great match to end the show by two ROH originals.

Almost the entire locker room came out to ringside in the closing moments to cheer both competitors on.

As Lethal did everything he could, Gresham got the win by submission off a chicken wing maneuver.

An announcement then followed flashing on the tv screen for April 2022, a possible return date for Ring of Honor Wrestling.
